Bar service to reopen outdoors on 26 April

We’re excited to confirm that the Club’s bar service will resume outdoors on 26 April 2021

It’s been a long wait, and I’m sure you’ve been looking forward to that first drink back at the Club. We can’t wait to welcome you back.

On Monday 26 April, we are extending the hours we would normally operate to mark the occasion of our reopening. We are opening at 1pm and closing at 9pm.

For details of opening times for the rest of the week, please see the table at the end of this post and the separate opening hours page for the latest arrangements.

We have aimed to align closing times with planned rugby activity - it would be great to see you for a drink after training!

We’d also like to emphasise that all are welcome - friends from the Tennis, Soccer, Bowls and Cricket Clubs are all very welcome to join us for an al fresco drink.

What can I expect at the Club?

Outdoor service

At present, we can only serve you outside. Entry to the Clubhouse is only allowed for the use of the toilets (see arrangements below).

We have nearly completed the installation of a covered pergola to provide shelter whilst socialising outside. This should be available for use from Thursday 29 April 2021 - just in time for the return of Senior men’s training, our Friday night M&Js, and the Bank Holiday weekend!

Table service

On arrival at the Club, please sign-in for test and trace purposes and make sure a member of staff knows that you have arrived. Please take a vacant seat at a table outside. You will be served at the table. Your order can be made using the Club’s app, or by placing an order with our bar staff (or a volunteer server). Payment is to be made via the app, by using a contactless payment method, or providing your membership number (if you have funds on your card).

Please do not leave your seat unless going to use the toilets.

Using the Club’s app

Using the app to order and pay really helps our staff and will usually mean that you receive your order more quickly.

It can be accessed at

Why not save it to your home screen for quick access in future?

Public health restrictions

For the latest public health restrictions that apply, please check the Welsh Government’s website.

We expect restrictions to be complied with. Please don’t take offence if you’re asked to adhere to the rules whilst at the Club - the rules are there to keep everyone safe.

These will include:

  • submitting test and trace information on arrival;
  • observing social distancing and hygiene measures ;
  • no more than six people to a table (not including children under 11);
  • only entering the Club to use the toilet (and observing the oneway system when inside); and
  • wearing a face mask when entering the Clubhouse to use the toilet.

If you have any Covid 19 symptoms, or are required to self isolate, please do not attend the Club under any circumstances.

Access to the toilets

  • Access to the toilets will be via the sun lounge patio doors.
  • Please wear a face mask when inside the Clubhouse and observe two-meter social distancing at all times.
  • There is a one-way system in place, please follow the signs that have been put in place.
