Return to rugby

It has been fantastic to see age-grade rugby training return to the Parc over the past week. From the U7s through to an U18s Youth session. Team Mangers and Coaches have been doing a great job of ensuring safe and enjoyable sessions, in keeping with WRU guidelines. The smiles on the faces of players says it all!

The next step will be to see Seniors and U19 Youth players return in the first week of May, with permission to reintroduce contact to training expected.

As most of you will know, the WRU has published its Pathway to Participation which anticipates the prospect of some 7s and 10s matches in mid-June and 15-a-side friendlies from mid-July. These to be played under modified laws.

The 2021/22 season begins on 1st August 2021, with an August to Novemeber window for WRU knock-out competitions. A mid-season break follows until mid-January 2022, when we hope to see a return to full laws and WRU league rugby.

All being well, we should see regular competitive rugby return in August. Details to follow.

Why not join us? There's never been a better time to return to rugby or try it for the first time - whatever your age or ability.

We run teams from U7s to Youth and Seniors (with a competitive 1st XV and a social 2nd XV).

We have social women's touch rugby, social men's touch rugby, and walking rugby too this summer.
